Terms of Service

By accessing or using Kars HQ (“the Service”, “we”, “our”) at karshq.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Kars HQ is used by designers, agencies, and B2B service businesses around the world, and is operated from Belgium. By using the Service you agree that — regardless of where you are located — these Terms are governed by Belgian law, and any dispute is to be resolved in the competent courts of Belgium, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise. EU regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), apply where relevant.

To use Kars HQ you must create an account by providing a valid email address and a password. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are registering on behalf of a business, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it as necessary. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the Service to scrape or target individuals, residential properties, or any category of persons for unsolicited personal communications.
• Use search results to harass, spam, or engage in any form of deceptive outreach.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute scraped data or Service outputs to third parties without our written consent.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or extract source code from the Service.
• Use automated scripts to make API calls beyond normal usage patterns or circumvent credit limits.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation, including data protection, anti-spam, and consumer protection laws.
• Use the Service for any purpose that competes directly with Kars HQ without our written permission.

The Service is intended for B2B outreach only — specifically to identify businesses that may benefit from web design, digital marketing, or related professional services. Any other use is prohibited.

Kars HQ operates on a credit-based subscription model. Credits are consumed each time you perform a search. The exact credit cost per search depends on the number of results requested and the search radius.

Subscription plans renew automatically on a monthly basis at the plan price applicable at the time of renewal. Credits included in your plan reset on each billing anniversary. Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing period unless otherwise stated.

Top-up credit packs may be purchased separately and do not expire while your account remains active. Top-up credits are consumed after your plan credits are exhausted.

Prices shown in the app and on the website are the prices you pay in your displayed currency (EUR, USD, GBP, or AUD). Where applicable, taxes are added at checkout: VAT for EU/UK customers, sales tax for relevant US states, GST for Australian customers. Tax computation and collection is handled by Stripe Tax based on your billing address. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and subject to Stripe’s Terms of Service.

Subscriptions: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for unused days within a billing period.

Top-up credits: Credit pack purchases are non-refundable once any credits from the pack have been used. If no credits have been consumed, contact us within 14 days of purchase to request a refund.

EU right of withdrawal: Consumers in the EU have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive. By using the Service immediately after purchase, you acknowledge that you consent to waiving this right for any portion of the service already consumed.

We aim for high availability but make no guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any specific time. We may perform maintenance, apply updates, or take the Service offline temporarily without prior notice.

The accuracy and completeness of search results depend on third-party data providers (Google Places API) and AI systems (Anthropic Claude). We do not warrant that any data returned is accurate, current, or complete. You should independently verify any business information before making outreach decisions.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where possible.

All code, design, branding, and platform infrastructure of Kars HQ are the exclusive property of the operator and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without express written permission.

Data returned by searches (business names, addresses, websites) originates from Google’s public Places API and is subject to Google’s Terms of Service. AI-generated pitch content is produced by Anthropic’s Claude API and ownership of outputs is governed by Anthropic’s usage policies.

You retain ownership of any notes, contact records, or custom content you create within the platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kars HQ and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim, or (b) €50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of certain damages. To the extent such laws apply to you, some of the above limitations may not apply.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct we reasonably determine to be harmful to other users, third parties, or the Service.

You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us to request deletion of your data. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7 (Intellectual Property), 8 (Limitation of Liability), and 10 (Governing Law) survive termination.

We operate Kars HQ from Belgium. By using the Service, you agree that these Terms — and any dispute or claim arising out of them, including non-contractual disputes — are governed by Belgian law, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions, and that any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts of Belgium.

This applies regardless of where you are located when you use the Service, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise. In that case, you keep the protections that local law affords you, and we apply the more protective standard.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email at the address on your account.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
